When is the Northampton Carnival 2021?

What is carnival in Northampton?
Northampton Carnival is a community event for the whole family. Local organisations, businesses, schools and charities come together to participate in attending and participating in the biggest annual summer event in Northampton town.
Northampton Carnival is a multicultural event that allows to experience the diverse lifestyles and cultures that are unique to the Northampton community.
Northampton Carnival has two parts – the carnival parade that is filled with floats, troupes, dancers and performers. The other part is the live performances and street vendors selling arts, crafts and food from all around the world.
Every year Northampton Carnival has a theme for the parade. The parade participants use the theme for their creative inspiration. The 2019 Northampton Carnival theme is “15 Years of Creating”.

Northampton Carnival Fun Fair & Entertainment
Northampton Carnival is an explosion of culture. In addition to the parade there is lots of entertainment and concerts live on stage featuring regional and local talent that will keep the crowds popping from start to finish. There are lots of bands, solo acts, choirs and dance groups.
There is also lots of fun activities for the whole family from workshops, rides, a wide range of stalls with delicious food, drinks, Arts & Crafts vendors from all over the world.
Northampton Carnival Parade
Northampton Carnival Parade is an incredible event that features performers, dancers and musicians. The streets are filled with masquerades dressed in the most stunning costumes representing different cultures from all around the world, celebrating Northamptonshire multi-cultural community. It is a lively and vibrant event that will attract thousands of spectators who crowd along the parade route.
Northampton Carnival Parade Route
The Northampton Carnival Parade leaves the Racecourse and head to Kettering Road @ 2:00pm.
It will arrive at Abington Square @ 2:35pm, then head to Giles street @ 2:50pm, then to Guildhall @ 3:00pm, then to Abington street @ 3:15pm, then onto Abington square @ 3:35pm and then the parade will return to the Racecourse to finish.
How to get to Northampton?

What to do and see in Northampton?
Northampton is a gorgeous town filled with historic architecture and parklands. Why not visit the house at 78 Derngate which is now a museum and was remodelled by architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1916. Or you could admire Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens.
Stroll through the grasslands and see bird habitats in the wetlands at the Barnes Meadow Nature Reserve. Bike through the trail at Brixworth Country Park relax at Abington Park. Visit Delapré Abbey to stop and smell the flowers. Or you can shop at Grosvenor Centre.
